The terms governing your use of the Essiraj app and website — offered free as sadaqah jariyah.
1. Acceptance
By installing, launching or using the Essiraj app ("the App") or browsing https://essiraj.com ("the Website"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use.
3. Price
Essiraj is offered free of charge as a sadaqah jariyah. There is no purchase, no subscription and no in-app premium tier.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the App except as expressly permitted by law.
- Redistribute the App through unofficial stores or modified builds.
- Remove any copyright, trademark or attribution notices.
- Use the Service to break the law, harm others, or disrespect the sanctity of the Qur'an.
5. Qur'anic content
The text of the Noble Qur'an is a trust (amāna). If you ever notice a typographic error in the mushaf, a translation mistake, or a tajwid annotation issue, please report it at support@essiraj.com so we can correct it immediately.
6. Calculation methods
Prayer times, qibla direction and calendar dates are computed using standard scholarly methods you may choose from the settings. While we strive for accuracy, local conditions may cause small differences — always defer to your local mosque's announcement in case of doubt.
7. Third-party content
Reciter audio is delivered under licences from the respective reciters or their rights holders. Translations and tafsir are reproduced by permission or under applicable public-domain status.
8. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" without any warranty. We make no guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that prayer-time or qibla calculations will be perfectly accurate in every location.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Essiraj team and its volunteers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service.
10. Updates
We may release updates that add, improve, or remove features. We may update these terms from time to time — the "last updated" date at the top will reflect the change.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of France. Any dispute will be brought before the competent courts of Paris, France.
