Bookmarks and personal notes
EsSiraj keeps two different things apart, because they are different. The reading bookmark is where you stopped: one per profile, and it reports to your reading plan. A kept verse is something else — a verse you want to find again, with, if you like, a line of your own beside it. You can keep up to five hundred, each with its own note of up to a thousand characters, listed newest first. Removing one offers an undo that gives the verse back with its note, because losing a comment silently is not an acceptable way to remove a bookmark. And writing a note on a verse you have not kept does not quietly keep it: nothing appears in your list that you did not put there.
- Up to 500 kept verses, each with its own note
- Notes up to 1,000 characters, edited from the verse sheet or the list
- Newest first, with a direct jump to the verse in the mushaf
- Separate from the reading position, which reports to your plan
- Undo on removal gives back the verse and its note
- Stored on the device — never uploaded, never read by anyone
